Busy pub, great location right on the harbour in Porthleven. Good pub food, busy pub especially during football matches which are shown on their TVs. There is also a separate restaurant where tables can be reserved.
They fitted us in on new year Eve lunch time. It was busy great service food was lovely, just a shame they had run out of what my first choice was.
The Harbour is pretty and very large which can feel a little soulless but it's an okay pub. We came from out of town and were advised to buy the house white wine for a tenner a bottle, but were sold one for eighteen. I suppose you have to be more clear but it did seem a bit much for plonk. On another day I of course tried the onion rings, which looked lovely and chunky but were sadly too underdone inside. The staff are mostly friendly though, so I much prefer the Harbour to the Ship across the water when we're in Porthleven.
Large pub/restaurant in a lovely part of the world, and as the name suggests it sits alongside the harbour which makes for a lovely outdoors meal in the summer. Prices are reasonable and the quality is decent enough for an enjoyable dining experience. Open throughout the day til late.
Superb location and as a pub hotel am very surprised by the level of service and attention to detail, simple stuff like replacing the Cornish Fairing biscuits each day, heck what other hotel has such great biscuits in your room! Clean, modern smart and new room decor and facilities within a traditional pub building with good food and beer, what more can you ask for. Definitely recommend.
