Great store great prices but iysw about time they introduced self service checkouts. Not fair when you go in for a snack and have to queue behind shoppers with full trolleys.
I left the store without buying anything. The wait for the few checkouts was horrendous. The staff were rude and unprofessional. The groceries l wanted to purchase where limited, poor quality, and had a very short shelf life. This was a miserable experience, l will be shopping at a real supermarket in future.
Anyone else notice that the prices at Lidl of fast moving items are going up quite dramatically? The bread I buy there was 19 pence cheaper 12 months ago. The four cans of larger now 3.19 but was 2.49 last year. Best to keep on eye on them as in any market share grabbing company they get your custom and then start jacking the prices up. I've switched to Iceland.
