Absolutely appalling. Firstly they decided to do a load of work to my car without telling me what the fault was and asking if I wanted to go ahead and get it fixed. Then when I asked why no one had called to get the work authorised Ri**ard said, if your want Ill just undo all of the work I have just done and you can pick up your car and take it away! All I wanted was to know why my bill was over 150 when I hadnt even been told what was wrong with it. Be careful taking your car here. They will work on it without your permission. Then when you go to pick it up the blonde lady in the office will scream at you like a wild banshee! Charming woman she is.
I had an acceleration issue with my Volvo V60. After a comprehensive examination by CAT the problem was identified as a faulty sensor. This was fixed quickly and at a very reasonable price. A friendly, efficient and great garage. This is the third time I have used them and the service is always excellent - thank you.
Went in with an alternator fault, fixed it but another fault occured, they fixed that also free of charge. Great service and friendly. Would definitely go back.
First Class service - After an intial discussion of dash warning lights and suspected fault, I was invited to bring the car in for a quick OBD scan during my 30min lunch break, no "leave your car with us for the day", which was really helpful. They immediately found an error code indicating a specific sensor fault & were willing to attempt a re-calibration exercise (rather than just insist on fitting a new part). Recalibration was succesful, fault cleared and no recurrence since. A 30 quick fix, friendly staff and good ol' honest service. I suspect a diagnosis alone at Ocean BMW would have been of the order 100, probably closely followed by a report of a new sensor required, and knowing the strip down required to get to the sensor, I suspect the Ocean BMW diagnosis/parts/labour bill could have easily topped 500. After years of avoiding dealerships and workshops in general, I now have a garage I know I can trust.
I have been taking my car to CAT for a long time and wouldn't consider using another garage. Urgent jobs down to routine MOTs have always been attended to swiftly and a courtesy car given when needed. I cannot fault the service ever and the new expanded garage and car sales is an example of a local business making great strides.
